NBN Receiver Station

The AgCloud repeater station is a self-contained NBN termination point with a solar (or wind) power supply with battery backup, WiFi connectivity to your buildings and complete remote monitoring and control.

The NBN Network Termination Unit is safely mounted in a Weatherproof case with Active and Passive cooling and internal temperature monitoring and to ensure all equipment is maintained within acceptable operating temperatures.

Management includes access to a remote monitoring website giving historical network, environmental and power statistics, proactive (SMS and Email) alerting on defined events and the ability to remotely power-cycle the NBN equipment.

Physical security is maintained with a livestock fence, case-open sensors and optional IP security cameras.

The standard AgCloud Receiver Station can be used to send NBN Internet access up to 1km from the station to the nearest house or shed; but can be designed to beam up to 50km line of site without the need for a repeater.

Wireless-Only Repeater Station

Long distance Wireless Networks require Line of Site to operate reliably. If you are seeking to have Network access to all areas of your farm; or the NBN coverage area does not have line of site to your house; a repeater station is often required.

AgCloud can design, install and support a wide range of repeater stations, ranging from a basic relay station (pictured right) to a deployment on a 100-meter radio tower. We can support any number of repeater stations, allowing Internet or network access to be extended to any length of distance.

IP Camera Station

AgCloud can provide a range of IP Camers to provide visibility of livestock, crops, driveways or waterways from anywhere in the world. These cameras can operate 24/7, on a schedule, or only when triggered by a remote event (such as a gate opening or movement detection).

In addition to 1080p quality video, AgCloud cameras can provide a live audio feed, and have infrared illuminators to facilitate night-time recording. AgCloud can also provide an infrared range extender which allows for night-vision recording up to 25 meters from the camera.

IP Camera Stations can be provided as permanent structures or as movable stations (as pictured to the right).

AgCloud Hybrid Stations

In locations where existing power is available, AgCloud can either deploy the networking equipment required to terminate your connection, or a hybrid power station which charges from your mains power, but can operate with a three-day reserve on battery power.

Often, prior to entering a property, criminals will cut power and telephone services and wait an hour or two to ensure that the standard battery-backup mechanisms are depleted before their entry. If you are relying on your AgCloud solution for back-to-base security monitoring, having a backup power supply which lasts days, rather than hours, is critical.

AgCloud hybrid stations are also important in commercial sheds in which arc welders and other heavy machinery are operated. This equipment can send harmful electricity spikes which regular IT Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS) do not filter out. Our hybrid station is designed such that the sensitive networking equipment is always powered by battery power, and the batteries charged by mains power – meaning any commercial power spikes are filtered from sensitive equipment.

AgCloud Remote Station Management and Health Monitoring


AgCloud provides remote web-based health monitoring for their stations for the life of the station which allows you to know the health of your remote station, and diagnose and repair any issues without needing to physically visit the site.

Our Station Monitoring System logs, reports and alerts on all aspects of station performance, including the following factors:


Environmental and Power

  • Ambient Temperature inside equipment housing
  • Energy generated via sun or wind (depending on station design)
  • Battery voltage level
  • System Load and Power Consumption
  • Equipment Housing door opened/closed


 IP and Network

  • Latency and Packet Loss between all endpoints
  • Latency and Packet Loss to selected Internet hosts
  • Network Utilisation (Bytes and Packets) on a per-port basis


Automated Alerting within flexible schedules via:

  • Email
  • SMS

These alerting metrics can be used to implement automated load-shedding if environmental factors indicate that it would be prudent to shut down ancillary functions to prolong battery life and provide critical functions at critical times.
